Education Garden
The Education Garden is a welcoming and bountiful environment that invites school groups, scout troops, faith groups, families and individuals to participate in growing fresh produce for those in need.
Our mission is to educate, demonstrate and share knowledge on a variety of environmentally sound methods for growing nutritious produce while caring for the earth that sustains us.
An Education Garden session includes a tour of the farm, where students will learn about the history of the farm, the legacy of Mr. Hobbs and the importance of knowing where their food comes from. Activities may include planting, harvesting, weed search, composting and other projects which may vary with the season.
Scout troops and students can earn community service hours by helping with garden maintenance and other various projects.
